Grandpa Li Jingyi said: A gentleman living in Shenyang once gave a feast atop a mountain, looking down, he saw a tiger with something in its mouth. After digging a pit with its paws and burying the thing, the tiger went away.
The gentleman immediately sent his servant to see what was buried there. It was a dead deer. People took the deer out and spaded back the dug-out earth as if everything was intact.
Moments later, the tiger came back, with a strange looking black animal that had long hair. The tiger led the way as if it were ushering in a distinguished guest. When they got to where the deer had been buried, the black animal crouched on the ground and looked on with its wide eyes. The tiger reached for the deer in the pit with its paw. But the deer was gone. It began to tremble all over and lay on the ground, not daring to move. The black animal thought that the tiger was cheating and got very angry. It hit the tiger on the forehead with its paw. The tiger died immediately and the black animal strutted away.
