In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, amidst the chaos of a crumbling empire, heroes emerged one after another. Carrying the unfulfilled aspirations of his father, Sun Ce borrowed troops from under the command of Yuan Shu and embarked on a campaign to establish his own base in the Jiangdong region. And a ambitious Journey began.
Expanding Forces and Gathering Talents
Along his journey, Sun Ce recruited capable individuals and welcomed renowned generals such as Cheng Pu and Huang Gai into his ranks. His forces grew steadily, bolstered by these valuable additions.
The Legendary Duel at Shenting Ridge
At Shenting Ridge, Sun Ce encountered the valiant Taishi Ci. The two heroes engaged in an intense battle, clashing for over a hundred rounds. Their fight spilled from horseback to foot, and when their weapons were lost, they continued in hand-to-hand combat, fully displaying their remarkable courage and martial prowess.
Military Strategy and the Conquest of Wu Commandery
Sun Ce continued his advance and confronted Yan Baihu in Wu Commandery. When Yan Baihu sent his brother Yan Yu to negotiate a peace treaty, Sun Ce saw through their delaying tactic. With decisive action, Sun Ce killed Yan Yu, striking fear into the enemy ranks. Subsequently, Sun Ce’s forces launched a fierce assault. Unable to withstand the attack, Yan Baihu abandoned the city and fled.
Through his exceptional leadership and extraordinary military wisdom, Sun Ce won the heartfelt support of his officers and soldiers. More importantly, he brought hope to the common people of Jiangdong, who saw in him a leader capable of restoring stability and order.
