Sun Wukong bid farewell to his master and, recalling his twenty-year absence from Flower and Fruit Mountain, recited an incantation and rode his Somersault Cloud homeward.
Within two hours, he landed on the mountain. The cries of cranes and apes echoed mournfully. “Little ones! I’ve returned!” he shouted. From cliffs, rocks, and forests, countless monkeys swarmed him, cheering.
“Great King! You’ve been gone so long!” they cried. “A demon called the Demon King of Chaos(Monstrous King of Havoc) invaded our Water Curtain Cave! He stole our treasures, kidnapped our kin, and claims the mountain as his own!”

Enraged, Wukong roared, “Where is this fiend?”
“North, in a vile cave!” the monkeys replied.
“Fear not! I’ll crush him!” Wukong vowed, leaping onto his cloud.
Monkey King’s Revenge
Arriving at a jagged peak, he found the Water-Belly Cave(Filth-Water Cave). Minor demons fled at his sight. “Tell your master: the Lord of Flower and Fruit Mountain has come to settle scores!” Wukong thundered.

Inside, the Monstrous King laughed. “So their ‘king’ finally returns! How is he armed?”
“Barehanded, dressed like neither monk nor priest!” a demon stammered.
The Demon King donned armor, gripped his blade, and marched out. Mocking Wukong’s size, he challenged, “No weapons—fists only!”
“Come at me, brave one!” Wukong taunted.

The Demon King swung wildly, but Wukong’s agility outmatched his brute strength. Punches to vital spots left the demon battered.

When minions swarmed, Wukong soared above, watching them collide in chaos.

Enraged, the Demon King slashed with his blade. Wukong dodged, then plucked hairs, chewed them, and spat out hundreds of clone monkeys. They swarmed the demon, tripping, biting, and pinning him down.

Seizing the blade, Wukong cleaved the Demon King in two. Storming the cave, he slaughtered every demon, rescued his kin, and torched the lair.
Returning triumphantly, Wukong recounted his adventures. The monkeys feasted, toasting their king. “Since our king bears the surname Sun, we shall all be Suns!” they declared, jubilant.
Thus, the Handsome Monkey King reclaimed his throne, his legend burning brighter than ever.
